Painter, poet, dancer, Jack Servoz is an eclectic artist, a bard of deep poetry. He has studied at l’Ecole Supérieure de Dessin de la ville de Paris and also made a brief stint at the Beaux-Arts de Paris. In 1981, his dance troop receives the prize for humour at an international dance contest.
Servoz finds his inspiration in his Celtic roots, his numerous travels and voyages, and from human interactions and collaborations including with Aragon, Bob Wilson, Zefirelli, Alain Resnais, Noureiev, Nina Viroubovna, Tanaka Min, Maurice Béjart, Antoine Vitez, Ruth Berghaus, Luis Pascual. He celebrates all that he touches and encounters through his use of colour, material, light, movement, and verb.
